Planning
Shoot Ideas
In the second shoot, I've decided to purely spend time in town while finding specific areas for varying scenes to be created. From hip to business, I'll take photos based on different pieces linking to the artists. It could be quite interesting to do this while also exploring multiple aspects, maybe by having movement involved which could link back to Maier, or just keeping to the architectural style.

2 Photos to Improve
The 2 that Failed to Reach the Requirements
The photos shown here describe what it's like to be in the town centre shown. With many of the images representing the urban, almost dystopian side of the present, it reminds one of the reality shown in Orwell's 1984. The towering of Terminus house, for example, could remind people of how they visualised the apartment building in the opening scene. Furthermore, many of the images show great places for high contrast to create a very grungy style. The first two images picture Terminus House and a wall nearby, both showing how the urban style of Harlow mixed in with the 60s architecture creates a mis-match of dystopia. Furthermore, the other 3 images represent what is great about photographing here. The way that it curves in relation to that creates a focal point for the eye.
The other two images, however, I do not like. While they had good composition for the area they were took in, I don't like that the focus is completely out of whack and that the f-stop was incorrect for the time. The sky in the second image shows completely clear clouds, which further solidifies my point.
Potential Ideas & Experiments
Exploring new Ideas
In these experiments I decided to do a lot of burning and dodging to improve the photos which weren't originally as satisfactory when it came to the exposure and contrast.

How I Took the Photos
To take the photos I used a Canon 1100D, and used an fstop of 5-11, ISO of 400 to 1600 and shutter speed of 1/100 to 1/600. In many of the shots I decided to use autofocus instead of manual focus, and I also enjoyed taking the photos at interesting angles you wouldn't usually get from standing up.
